Inkspired Blog Hop 47

Hi everyone and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee. I always look forward to seeing what she makes!

This is the last blog hop for the year, we will be restarting in January. This is the sketch that Teneale has provided for us:

Here is my creation this fortnight:

I decided that at this time of year I needed a simple card that I could easily recreate. My card base is Very Vanilla. I then matted a piece of This Christmas Designer Series Paper onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I then cut out a regular circle from Very Vanilla and a scalloped circle from Cherry Cobbler using the Layering Circle Framelits. I have then stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler using the Be Jolly, By Golly stamp set.

Next on the hop is Maree. I love the way she always creates amazing cards!

This will most likely be the last post for the year. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and don't forget to leave some time for crafting!!

Love

Allison

Inkspired Blog Hop 45

Hello and welcome to another Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Nacelle, I can't wait to see what she has made this fortnight.

This is the sketch for this fortnight.

This is how I interpreted the sketch.

I stamped the Wondrous Wreath in Sweet Sugarplum and then in Perfect Plum. I then stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum from the Greetings from Santa  stamp set. The ribbon is from the Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack and the sequins are from the Fancy Frost Sequins.

I absolutely love Christmas. I am looking forward to it so much, I am slightly better organised than last year (only slightly though!).

Next on the hop is Maree, I always look forward to seeing her cards!

Until next time!

Inkspired Blog Hop 44

Hi everyone and welcome back to another Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee who always inspires me to create more creative cards.

This is the sketch for this fortnight.

Here is how my card turned out.

I turned the sketch sideways for this card. I covered the front of the Real Red card with Candy Cane Lane DSP, however, I only attached it with a small amount of adhesive where I was going to cut. I then used the Layering Circles to cut the circle. I then cut some gold Baker's Twine the length of the hole. I then fully attached the DSP to cover the card base.

I love the Santa from the Cookie Cutter Bundle! It seemed perfect for the gap in my card. I stamped and punched him out and then coloured him with my Many Marvellous Markers. He is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to the Baker's Twine.

I felt that the card needed a sentiment and thought that the "Ho Ho Ho" from Greetings From Santa stamp set.

Next on our hop is Marie who I had the pleasure to see in person yesterday!

Until next time!!

Inkspired Blog Hop 43

Hello everyone and welcome to another Inkspired Blog Hop! You have probably come from Marlene who always makes wonderful cards. I am looking forward to seeing what she has made. It is a hot day in Sydney and I am enjoying the warmer weather.

This is the card that Teneale has provided for this fortnight:

I knew immediately what I wanted to create when I saw this sketch.

I used Mint Macaron for my card base and then cut another piece of Mint Macaron for the card front. I embossed it using the Softly Falling Embossing folder. I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Pinecones and Presents DSP. I used the strip in the Banner Triple Punch.
I stamped the mouse and sentiment from the Merry Mice stamp set onto Whisper White and coloured it using the Many Marvellous Markers.

I love making "Winter" Christmas cards - even though it is usually very hot at Christmas here.

Next on the hop is Maree, who always makes wonderful cards.

See you all again soon!

Allison

Blog Hop 41

Hello everyone and welcome to our latest Blog Hop! You probably have come from the lovely Lissa, who always makes amazing cards!

It is a rainy Sunday in Sydney just when the weather was beginning to warm up we get colder weather. It is perfect weather for staying home and making a card.

Our sketch for this week:

I love the simplicity of this sketch. I am drawn toward clean and simple cards and this sketch fits the bill. I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card but I haven't bought any of the new papers yet (this is a huge confession for me considering I am a patterned paper addict). This is what I came up with:

I started with a card base of Cherry Cobbler and then decided to use the specialty paper from the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper. I stamped the sentiment from Seasonal Bells using Cherry Cobbler and die cut it using Bunch of Banners. I then cut 2 more the banner in Cherry Cobbler and cut them to frame the sentiment.

I quite enjoyed making this card, but I enjoy making most cards!!

Next on the hop is Maree. I always enjoy seeing what she makes!

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Blog Hop 40

Hi everyone and welcome to the Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee. I always love her cards and can't wait to see what she created for this week.

The sketch for this blog hop is:

When I saw the sketch I knew immediately what I was going to make! I am very excited to have started Christmas crafting! I love creating Christmas cards and even though Christmas is hot in Australia, I still love snowy Christmas scenes!

I wanted to make a card that was monochromatic and decided on Night of Navy and Whisper White. I started by sponging a piece of Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper but I wasn't happy with the result. So I turned the paper over and swiped the paper across the ink pad itself. My Night of Navy ink was quite wet as it has barely been used.
I then stamped the train and greeting from the Christmas Magic stamp set. This set reminds me of The Polar Express and is becoming a new favourite (I am beginning to think I have too many favourites!).
I then stamped the snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes and punched them out with the Snow Flurry punch.

I enjoyed making this card so much I think I will have to try it with some different colours!

The next step is the wonderful Maree. I am looking forward to see what she has created!

Bye for now!

Inkspired Blog Hop 39

Hi everyone and welcome to another Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from the remarkable Renee who I am sure has created an amazing card.

Our sketch for today is:

I had quite a few different ideas for this sketch but finally decided on this card:

I have made this card for a friend's birthday. She recently commented about how she always wanted a blue hydrangea but couldn't grow one. I knew her birthday was coming up and decided to make her one.

I altered the sketch slightly to make the rectangle bigger. I used the Thoughtful Branches Bundle to stamp and cut the flower in Marina Mist. The stem is made from Old Olive. I used the stamp set Balloon Celebration for the sentiment.

Our next artist is the marvellous Maree. I am sure she has made a magnificent card!

Bye for now!

Inkspired Blog Hop 38

Hello and welcome to Inkspired Blog Hop 38. You may have come from Renee who I know will have made a fabulous card.

This is the sketch that Teneale provided us with:

I had an idea for this sketch, however I left it too late to order my supplies so I had to come up with something else. I eventually came up with this:

I was puzzling over which colours to use and then I noticed how nice the grey was on our new chairs. So I decided on a combination of Smoky Slate and Pool Party. The stamped flower is from the Flourishing Phrases set and I stamped several times (in Pool Party) before re-inking.

I die cut the flower from the Flourish Thinlits in Smoky Slate and then went over it with Wink of Stellar to brighten it up. The ribbon is 1/8 inch ribbon in Silver.

I knew that it needed a sentiment and decided to use the Happy Birthday stamp from the Confetti Celebrations set. I then used a new favourite in the Classic Label Punch to make it stand out.
I hope you like it!

Our next artist is the amazing Maree. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.

Bye for now!

Inspired Blog Hop 37

Hi everyone and welcome to our Inkspired Blog Hop 37! This is my first Blog Hop and I am very excited! You may have come from Renee and I know she will have created a wonderful card!

This is the sketch that Teneale provided us with this week:

The card I made was a sympathy card for a work colleague. A couple of weeks ago her Grandma passed away. My Nan passed away in February so I understood what she was going through. Here is the card I made for her based on the sketch:

I altered the sketch slightly joining the star and dots together. My Nan loved flowers and she would have loved this card.

I decided to use the hostess set Gift of Love for the flower, using Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy stamped off. I then placed some Emerald Envy rushed ribbon across the card. I used a personal favourite for the greeting; Teeny Tiny Sentiments and used the Classic Label Punch with it.

This was a fun card to make, even though it was for a sad reason.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to see what Maree has is store for us (I'm sure it is as fabulous as always!)

If there is anything you want to order from me please don't hesitate to contact me!

Bye for now,
Allison
