Inkspired Blog Hop 69

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Narelle or you may be starting here. Don't forget to see all of the fabulous cards on display tonight.

Here is our sketch of the fortnight:

And here are my cards:

No your eyes are not deceiving you, there are FIVE cards there. I decided on what I wanted to do but I couldn't decide what colour I wanted to use, so I decided to use five. The colours I have used are: Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum. I used the Marbled Background and Merry Mistletoe stamps. I also used the Metallic Enamel Shapes and the Whisper White sheer ribbon.

Next on the hop is Maree. I can't wait to see what she has created!

Until next time,

Allison

Inkspired Blog Hop 68

Good evening and welcome to another Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from the wonderful Renee or you may be starting here. Don't forget to see all of the wonderful creations.

Here is our sketch:

This is my creation:

I created this card with the idea of Santa sitting in front of the fire in his pyjamas and then realising that the snow had started falling, rushed out to get his suit off the line. This appeals to my inner child.

I used the Around the World Designer Series Paper, Thick Whisper White Cardstock and Window Sheet to create the main card. The stamp and die bundle is called Santa's Suit. I used the new Stampin' Blends to colour the images. Alcohol markers are great for colouring and creating a light/dark effect.

Next on the hop is Maree. I always look forward to seeing her creations.

Until next time.

Inkspired Blog Hop 67

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee or you may be starting here.

Here is our latest sketch:

Here is my card:

You may be thinking that my combination of the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and Cherry Cobbler is a bit unusual. There is method to my madness though. Today is my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and that is the ruby celebration. I have also used the Number of Years stamp and the Eclectic Layers Framelits. I did use Wink of Stella on the ruby but it doesn't really show in the picture.

Next on the hop is Maree. Don't forget to go around to all of the blogs to see the wonderful creations.

Until next time.

Inkspired Blog Hop 66

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee or you may be starting here. Don't forget to go around and check out all the marvellous cards.

This is the latest sketch:

And here is my card:

There is a story behind my card this week. The story starts a month ago when someone ran up the back of my car. This then pushed me into the car in front of me. Well my car was booked in to be repaired on the 23rd of October.

On Wednesday this week I HAD to be at work at 7:45. We were taking 80 kids into the city and then spending the night at Taronga Zoo. Well my car decided to overheat on Wednesday morning and had to be towed. The people from the dealership say that the car overheated due to damage from the accident. I was frantically calling my work colleagues and family trying to get to work. I was hoping to be there by the time they started walking to the station (approximately 8:30).

I arrived at work at 9:30. I had to drop off my luggage, walk to the station and meet up with my group in Sydney. I caught the train fine and even got off at the right station, but I then managed to get lost on the way to the museum. Luckily a phone call to Dad helped me to find the way.

I finally met up with my group at about 10:45. We then spent the rest of the day walking around the Botanical Gardens in the rain and spent the night at the zoo. We loved the overnight excursion however, we didn't enjoy the rain all night long or the seals barking all night!

This card is for the teacher I shared a tent with. Her humour and ability to navigate Taronga Zoo are amazing.

The card is created with the Painted Harvest and Label Me Pretty. I have used Berry Burst, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay Stitched and the scallops are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

Next on the hop is Barbara who I had the pleasure of seeing yesterday. I am really looking forward to seeing what she has created.

Until next time!

Inkspired Blog Hop 65

Good evening and welcome to the Inkspired Blog Hop. You may be coming from Renee or you may be starting here. Make sure you hop around to all the blogs for some fabulous inspiration.

We always start with a sketch and here is the latest:

I must admit that I had the idea for this card last year, but I ran out of time to make it. When I saw this sketch I decided it was time to use the idea.

I used the Holly Berry Builder punch in Garden Green and Real Red. The ribbon is the Gold 1/8 Ribbon and the Designer Series Paper is Quilted Christmas.

Next on the hop is Maree. She always inspires me to do more with my stamping.

Until next time!

Here is our latest sketch:

Here is my interpretation:

One of my favourite items in the holiday catalogue is the Hearts Come Home Bundle. I have used the dies this time and think I will be using it a lot over the coming months. The Designer series Paper is Merry Little Christmas used with Old Olive Cardstock. I also used Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.

Next on the hop is Maree. I always look forward to her creations.

Until next time.

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from the wonderful Renee or you may be starting here. Don't forget to hop around to everyone's blog to see the wonderful creations.

Here is our latest sketch:

Here is my creation:

I decided to use the Christmas Quilt Bundle. This bundle appeals to me as it can be used for Christmas and other times of the year. I have several friends who are quilters so this bundle will be used all year round for me.

The sentiment is from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set. I also put a gold faceted gem in the middle of the star.

Next on the hop is Maree. I always look forward to seeing what she has made.

Until next time!

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee or you may be starting here. Don't forget to go around to all the blogs and see all the wonderful creations.

Here is the sketch for this hop:

Here is my interpretation:

I have made this card for a staff member at work. She is a qualified art teacher and very creative. I love this stamp set (Crafting Forever) and its ability to be used for creative people who use different mediums. I coloured it using my Many Marvellous Markers. The washi tape is the Pick a Pattern wash tape.

Next on the hop is Maree. I love how she interprets the sketches.

Until next time!

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have some from Renee or you may be starting here. Make sure you hop around to all the blogs and see all the amazing creations.

Here is the latest sketch:

Last fortnight Teneale made a comment about how she was freaked out with people preparing for Christmas. I am continuing this tonight as I think it is never too early for Christmas!

I have used the Be Merry Designer Series Paper and the new stamp set Carols of Christmas. I stamped and cut out the poinsettia and leaves instead of the bow. The ribbon is Stitched Satin Ribbon. I love clean and simple Christmas cards!

Next on the hop is Maree. I can't wait to see what she has made.

Inkspired Blog Hop 60

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee or you may be starting here. Don't forget to hop around to all the different blogs and see all the wonderful creations.

Here is this week's sketch:

I decided to do something a little bit different this week. While my design would have worked on a card I decided to create a bag instead.

I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the bag using the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper. I then inked Whisper White cardstock with Fresh Fig. The stars are cut out of Gold Glimmer Paper using the Starlight Thinlits. I used them as a border as I don't have a current border punch. The ribbon is Gold 1/8" Ribbon.

Next on the hop is Maree. I always love looking at her cards.

Until next time.

Inkspired Blog Hop 59

Good evening and welcome to the Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Teneale or you might be starting with me. Don't forget to hop around to all the wonderful cards!

Here is our latest sketch:

Can I just say that I love this sketch?? I wanted to do a few different cards because I just had so many ideas. Unfortunately I ran out of time and only got one made. I might be able to make one of them and put it up next week.

This card is for my dad's birthday tomorrow. When I saw the This Little Piggy stamp set it became top of my wish list. I stamped the pigs onto Powder Pink cardstock in Chocolate Chip and fussy cut them out. The card base is Tranquil Tide and the Designer Series Paper is Wood Textures.

Next on the hop is Maree. I can't wait to see what she has made!

Until next time!

Good evening and welcome to the Inkspired Blog Hop. You may be starting here or you may have come from Renee. Don't forget to go around and all the blogs to see the amazing creations!

Here is our latest sketch:

A couple of weeks ago, it was Mum's birthday. I decided to be a little organised and make her card based on a future sketch. Here it is:

I decided to use the Delightful Daisy Suite. Almost everything on this card is Delightful Daisy! I decided that for the leaf element I would create a negative space. The Faceted Gem gives the flower a focus. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the ribbon is the Gold 1/8" Ribbon.

Next on the hop is Maree.

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend! Until next time!

Inkspired Blog Hop 57

Good evening and welcome to the Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from the lovely Renee who has been sick. I hope she (and her family) are feeling better soon.

Teneale provides a sketch each fortnight and this is the latest one.

I needed to make a birthday card for my uncle last week so here is what he received:

I decided to create a masculine card this fortnight as I don't make many. My uncle's favourite colour is red so the card is mostly Cherry Cobbler. With the Soft Suede ink, Wood Textures DSP and Very Vanilla Cardstock I though this card gave an autumnal theme. I used the Sheltering Tree and Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp sets and the Linen Thread to complete the card. The border punches I had didn't really suit the card so I created a border by fussy cutting some logs.

Next on the hop is Maree. I can't wait to see what she has created.!

Until next time.

Inkspired Blog Hop 56

Happy Mother's Day and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop! You may have come from Teneale. I can't wait to see what she made.

Here is the sketch for this blog hop:

Here is my card:

(Sorry for the bad photo, it has been cloudy all day)

I decided to use some new and old products. I used the Floral Phrases stamp set in Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide. I fussy cut them and then attached them to Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper in Powder Pink. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and punched in the Classic Label punch. I then punched it in Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst. I also used the new Finely Woven Ribbon.

Next on the hop is Maree. I wonder what she has made.

Until next time.

Our sketch for this week:

No automatic alt text available.
My creation for this week:

I wanted to use some of the new product so I have used the Eastern Palace Suite. The stamp set is called Eastern Beauty. I used Dapper Denim and the new In Colours Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist. I have embellished the card with Jewel Basic Rhinestones.

Next on the hop is Maree. I can't wait to see what she has made for the hop!

Until next time,

Inkspired Blog Hop 54

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may have come from Renee or be starting here. Don't forget to hop around to all the blogs and see the ladies wonderful creations.

Here is the latest sketch:

This seems an easy sketch but the flower/leaf embellishment in the corner made it a bit difficult. In the end I came up with this:

This is another photo of the card:

Did you notice the difference? The dresses are attached by magnets and can be changed according to what dress the recipient might like best.

I decided to keep the card simple. The Designer Series Paper is Pop of Pink and the strip down the side is the matching washi tape. The stamp set is Beautiful You.

Next on the hop is Maree. I wonder what she has made this fortnight.

Until next time,

Allison

Good evening and welcome to the latest Inkspired Blog Hop. You may be starting with me or you may have come from Teneale. Don't forget to hop all the way around to see all the different creations.

This fortnight we have a landscape card:

Here is my card:

I haven't used Sweet Sugarplum with Bermuda Bay and I wanted to see what they were like together. The Designer Series Paper is from Cupcakes and Carousels and the Glimmer Paper is Sweet Sugarplum from Sale-A-Bration. The stamp set is also a Sale-A-Bration set called Make a Medallion.

Next on the hop is Maree. I look forward to seeing her creation.

Until next time,

Allison.
